Scar Tissue Release
So this particular scar was from a motorcycle accident and pins were put into the ankle to stablise the joint. When I first worked on this scar it was quite swollen around the lower part of the leg, and ankle bone. The scar was also quite thick to touch and almost angry looking. By the third appointment the swelling was much less reduced so he was getting much better lymphatic drainage from the area, the scar was less noticable to the touch and it didn't look as angry. His mobility was improved although it'll never be the same with the screws in the leg, but the client was very happy with how it had responded.
This review from my client was for a scar that was part of a hysterectomy she had a few years ago. There wasn't much in the way of visable scars as it was all keyhole but she often had a sore back from power lifting, couldn't get her core to fire and would feel compressed in the back with her lifts. After she told me about the hysterectomy I suggested we should do some scar work on her abdomen, and when I first placed my hand on her stomach it was rock solid, she had no give in the core muscles. I've worked on it three times, combined with massage, and after the first treatment her abdomen soften off and she noticed it greatly when in her first session in the gym. Abdomen scars response so well to treatment, you can usually notice a difference after one session, but they are like an onion, there are many layers too them.
